DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in special drives, detained 15 leaders-activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Chhatra Shibir for their alleged involvement in sabotages during hartal-blockade.

Masudur Rahman, deputy police commissioner (media and public relations) of DMP, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said among the detainees 10 are leaders and activists of BNP and rest are Jamaat-Shibir men.

Masudur said the 15 people were detained during the drives carried out in last 24 hours till Monday morning on allegation of planning to create sabotage during hartal and blockade enforced by BNP led 20-party alliance.
