AK Khandaker asked to face court

BRAHMANBARIA: A district court on Monday asked former planning minister Air Vice Marshal (retd) AK Khandaker before it in person on June 25 in a defamation suit.

Chief Judicial Magistrate of Brahmanbaria, Munira Sultana gave the order for his derogatory write-ups about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Liberation War in his latest book.

Former joint secretary of social welfare ministry Ishaq Bhuiyan, also a freedom fighter, filed the lawsuit against A K Khandaker on September 10 last year on charge of writing the controversial book on Bangabandhu and Liberation War.
