DHAKA: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad and mayor, councilor and reserved councilor candidates for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) are exchanging their views on upcoming city polls.
The CEC met the aspirants at Krishibid Institute Bangladesh Complex in the city’s Khamarbari area around 11:15am on Sunday where most of the election candidates were present.
Four other election commissioners and representatives from law enforcing agencies were also present at the meeting.
A total of 16 candidates for mayor post, 277 for councilors, and 88 for reserved councilors are expected to contest the DNCC polls, slated to be held on April 28.
