DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia greeted Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, also the prime minister, for Bangla New Year.

BNP chief press wing officer Shairul Kabir Khan told banglanews about sending the greeting card on Sunday night.

He said BNP chairperson’s personal secretary Abdus Sattar hand over the card to PM’s protocol officer SM Khurshidul Alam at Gonobhaban around 8:00pm.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent her greetings to leader of the opposition Rawshan Ershad and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for Pahela Baishakh.

PM’s protocol officer SM Khurshidul Alam delivered the greeting card to Khaleda Zia around 5:00pm Sunday.

BNP Chairperson’s office staff Jasim Uddin Pramanik received the card, said PM’s deputy press secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon.
