DHAKA: A five-member delegation of Hefajat-e-Islam Bangladesh met Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan residence in the city Friday night.

Led by Hefajat’s Dhaka city unit convener Maulana Nur Hossain Kashemi, the delegation held an hour-long meeting with the BNP chief around 9:30pm.

Sources of BNP and the Meeting told banglanews that Hefajat leaders discussed with Khaleda on different issues related to the polls in three city corporations –Chittagong, Dhaka South and Dhaka North.

They also discussed winning issues of the candidates backed by BNP-led 20-party alliance in the polls, the sources added.
