DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL)-supported mayoral candidate of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Anisul Haque condemned the attack on BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s motorcade.

He made the condemnation at a poll campaign in city’s Kalachandpur area on Tuesday morning.

Anisul said, ‘I do not support the attack. We should thwart the attackers together’.

He also demanded that these sorts of attacks should be stopped.

According to him, the attackers must be identified and be brought under trial.

However, a group of miscreants attacked the BNP’s chief’s motorcade on Monday during her poll campaigns at city’s Karwanbazar area.

He also urged the voters to cast their ballots in favor of the qualified candidates, who will work for the development of the city.
