SATKHIRA: Police arrested at least 95 persons including eight BNP-Jamaat men in overnight drives in Satkhira and Jessore districts.

The drives were conducted from Tuesday midnight to Wednesday morning in different parts of the districts.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Satkhira district police special branch inspector Emdad Hossain said that the arrestees are accused in different cases including creating violence.

Among the arrestees, two were from BNP and three from Jamaat, he added.

Moreover, police arrested 41, including three BNP activists, in nightlong drives in Jessore.

Jessore police control room sources said that the arrestees are accused in different cases including vandalism.

The arrestees are sent to jail through the court, the sources added.
