DHAKA: The second namaj-e-janaza of BNP’s former lawmaker Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu was held at 11:50am Monday in front of party’s central office in city’s Nayapaltan area.
Leaders and activists of BNP including its chairperson Khaleda Zia paid tributes to him.
Earlier this morning, his body was taken at the office.
The former lawmaker will be buried in city’s Azimpur graveyard after his third namaz-e-Janaza, to be held at Leather Technology field.
Earlier in the day, Pintu’s body was taken to his residence in city’s Hazaribagh area from Rajshahi after the first namaz-e-Janaza at Hetem Khan Boro Mosque.
On Sunday, Nasiruddin Pintu, who was serving life in prison for involvement in the 2009 BDR mutiny, died of cardiac arrest in Rajshahi.
