CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday afternoon urged people not to vote the killers, pointing to BNP and its major ally Jamaat-e-Islami.
The PM in her speech at a mass rally in Chapainawabganj Government College playground made the appeal to the audience.
She said BNP-Jamaat alliance killed at least 90 people in the name of political movement. ‘You should not cast your votes for the killers,’ she asked the audience.
According to the premier, her government works for the development of the nation. In contrary, BNP causes destruction.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina inaugurated a bridge after her name on river Mahananda in Chapainawabganj.
A helicopter carrying the premier landed at AAM Mejbaul Haque Stadium at 12:27pm in the day.
Later, she inaugurated Sheikh Hasina Bridge, the 2nd bridge, costing around 70-crore over river Mahananda.
The premier is also set to inaugurate several development projects including Chapainawabganj Eye Hospital building, Birshreshtha Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir College academic building and Gomastapur Fire Service Station.
