KHULNA: Miscreants hacked an activist of Juba League to death in Rupashi Rupsha area under Labanchara Thana of the district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Imran Sajib Akanda, 28, son of Nazrul Islam of Gallamari area.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Labanchara Thana Sardar Mosharraf Hossain told banglanews that 10-15 miscreants chopped Imran while visiting his fish enclosure near Mandra canal in the area.

Locals spotted Sajib lying in a pool of blood around 12:00pm and informed police.

Later, police sent him to the Khulna Medical College and Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead. 

Imran was also accused in several cases including murder case, the OC added.
