PIROJPUR: A district court has sent twelve Mathbaria upazila unit leaders and activists of BNP and it’s youth wing Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal and student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal in Pirojpur.

Pirojpur district and sessions court judge Mohammad Golam Kibria passed the order refusing their bail pea in presence.

The arrestees included municipality BNP president Humayun Kabir, upazila unit Jubo Dal president Abu Bakar Siddique Badal and upazil unit Chhatra Dal president Jasim Uddin Farazi.

Case statement said local unit ruling Awami League leader Fazlul Haque Moni filed an explosion case against 54 BNP-men as a cocktail was blasted at Pirojpur Bus Stand of Mathbaria municipality area of the upazila on January 31.

Mathbaria Thana sub-inspector (SI) Rathindra Nath Biswas submitted a charge-sheet against 15 after an investigation.
