DHAKA:  Police sought 40-day remand for Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) president Rajib Ahsan to interrogate him, showing arrest him in four sabotage cases.

Rajib Ahsan’s lawyer Sana Ullah Mia confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He was taken to Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court around 11:00am Wednesday.

The hearing of remand petition is scheduled to be held at metropolitan magistrate Shamsul Arefin later in the day, said sources concerned.

Police detained form from Lebukhali Ferry Ghat of Barisal highway on Sunday.
