RAJSHAHI: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members detained a top leader of banned outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) and also Bangla Bhai’s adviser Lutfor Rahman Thursday.

He was picked up from his home in Shikdari area of Baghmara upazila around 11:30am.

RAB-5 railway colony camp’s company commander Major Zaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said detained Lutfor is a warranted accused in 10 killing cases. He was fugitive for a long. On a tip-off, the elite force raided his house and held him this morning.

The adviser of Bangla Bhai was set to take to railway colony camp.

After interrogation, details will be disclosed in a press conference later on the day, Major Jaman added.
