ISHWARDI (PABNA): Police arrested a local unit Jubo League activist with a foreign-made revolver and two rounds of bullets in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna district on Sunday.

The arrestee was identified as Liton alias Bandar Liton (35), son of Abdul Majid of Gokulnagar area of the upazila.

Ishwardi Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Biman Kumar Das told banglanews that the arrestee is a warranted convict of six cases including of murder and abduction.

On tip-off, law enforcers arrested him by conducting a drive in a dairy farm at Aambagan area of the upazila, the OC added.

He further said that Liton has already been sent to jail in a separate firearms case.
