DHAKA: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Sayeed Khokon urged the city dwellers to play their respective roles in keeping the city clean and free from traffic congestion.
He made the urge while speaking at a discussion on National Mourning Day, held at Madanmohan Lane in city’s older section on Wednesday.
Khokon commented that it will not be possible for him to do everything.
‘Every city dwellers should come forward to keep the city clean and safe,’ he added.
The newly elected mayor also called upon all to take lessons from the life and works of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Mohammad Hanif Smriti Sangsad organized the program, chaired by its president Mohammad Manik and attended by ruling Awami League leader MA Azad and its youth front Jubo League ward unit president Abdul Maleque.
