DHAKA: BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir got six more weeks time to surrender before a lower court in three sabotage cases.
A four-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, passed the order Monday after hearing a time petition filed by defense lawyers.
Earlier on July 13, the Supreme Court (SC) upheld the High Court (HC) order that granted bail to Mirza Fakhrul in the three cases for six weeks.
Fakhrul now is staying in USA for advanced treatment.
