MYMENSINGH: At least 10 people were injured as two groups of ruling Awami League (AL)’s workers front locked into a clash in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh district on Tuesday noon.
Local sources said that supporters of local unit Sramik League leaders Monir and Uzzal fell into an altercation in front of Alam Asia bus stand in the area and later locked into a clash leaving at least 10 injured.
Sramik League leader Monir and upazila unit Chhatra League general secretary Asek Billah Shamim, among the injured, were admitted to Upazila Health Complex.
Confirming the matter to banglanews Phulbaria Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Rifat Khan Rajib said that the clash took place following the dispute over party committee.
Police have taken the situation under control, he added.
