Barrister Rafiq lands in jail on surrender

DHAKA: A city court has ordered to send BNP standing committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Mia to jail.

The court passed the order on Monday afternoon (May 16) after denying Mia’s bail plea in 10 sabotage cases.

Earlier in the day, Barrister Rafiq surrendered to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court and pleaded for bail in the sabotage cases filed with Paltan, Motijheel, Mirpur, Pallabi and Jatrabari thanas in city in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
