DHAKA: The High Court has ended hearing on Anti Corruption Commission’s appeal against Tarique Rahman’s acquittal and his friend Giasuddin Al Mamun’s plea against conviction in money laundering case.

An HC bench comprising Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Amir Hossain on Thursday (June 16) kept the case on ‘Curia Advisari Vult’, and the verdict will be pronounced any day.

On Nov 17, 2013, Special Judges Court-3 acquitted BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique and jailed his friend, also business partner Mamun for seven years in the case over siphoning off Tk 200 million.
