CHITTAGONG: The court has ordered to send BNP joint secretary Aslam Choudhury to prison showing arrest in fraudulence of cheque worth Tk 36.8 crores. 

Chittagong Metropolitan Judge Abduk Quader passed the order on Monday (June 20).

Metropolitan judge court bench assistant Kafil Uddin told banglanews that Aslam Chy took loan worth Tk 36.8cr from Pubali Bank with the name of a company named 7/B Associates at Fuajdarhat in South Bhatiari area of Sitakundu.

However, he gave cheque to Jamuna Bank for repayment, but it was rejected by the bank due to insufficient funds. Later a case was filed over the issue.
