HILI (DINAJPUR): Detective Branch (DB) of police members detained three members of outlaw militant outfit Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Hili land port area of the district on Wednesday (June 22).

The detainees were identified as Galibur Rahim (23), son of one Harunur Rashid of Ghoraghat upazila; Mujahidul Haque (20), son of one Lutfur Rahman and Abu Nayeem Faruki Azam (20), son of Golam Mustafa of Hakimpur upazila of the district.

Hakimpur Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abdus Sabur told banglanews that on tip-off they conducted a drive early Wednesday and detained the trio.

A number of locally made weapons and six pieces of cocktails were seized from the possession, he added.

During primary investigation, DB police sources said, the detainees confessed their involvement with the JMB.
