SYLHET: An Awami Secha Sebok League activist was killed over a dispute regarding house rent at Goabari Mehar Manjil near Tarapur Tea Garden in Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday (July 10).

The victim Abdullah Antar, 22, was a tenant of the house.

Jalalabad Thana office-in-charge (OC) Akhtar Hossain told banglanews that the house owner Sani allegedly slaughtered Abdullah around 1:45pm.

The body was taken to Osmani Medical College morgue for autopsy.

The further steps would be taken by Airport Thana officials as the incident occurred in area under its jurisdiction, the OC added.

Sylhet Airport Thana OC Gowsul Hossain said police none was arrested in this connection till filing this report.
