JHENAIDAH: Police detained five activists of BNP and Jamaat-Shibir at Shailakupa and Kotchandpur of the district on Saturday (July 23).

The detainees were held from several places during separate drives.

Jhenaidah Additional Police Super (ASP) Azbahar Ali Sheikh confirmed the matter to banglanews adding the reason behind detaining them.

The detainees were held on information of plotting of sabotage. They will be sent to the jail after initial queries, ASP said.
