3 Harkat-ul-Jihad men held in city

DHAKA: A team of detective branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detained three activists of banned extremist outfit Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami, including its Dhaka metro (south) president Maulana Nazim Uddin from city’s Mirpur area.

Confirming the matter, DMP deputy commissioner (media and public relations) Masudur Rahman on Saturday afternoon (July 23) said a team of DMP (south) DB team detained them.

Police detained them early Saturday, he added.
