RANGPUR: Police arrested some 51 people including three Jamaat activists conducting drives at several areas of eight Upazilas of the district.

The drive was conducted from Sunday late night to Monday morning (July 25).

Rangpur Senior Assistant Police Super (ASP B-Circle) Saifur Rahman informed banglanews that the arrestees were charge sheeted and warranted accused in several cases by the court. They were at large for long.

Besides, they were charged with theft, robbery, terrorism and other cases. They have been sent to the Rangpur Jail this morning by the court, ASP added.
