DHAKA: A Dhaka court has issued arrest warrant against nine BNP leaders including its senior joint secretary general Rizvi Ahmed and Shimul Biswas in a sabotage case of Pallabi Thana. 

Judge of Metropolitan Session Judge’s Court Ruhul Amin passed the order on Monday (July 25, 2016) after accepting charges against 17 accused including the nine.

The court also asked law enforcers to submit a report on August 23 on execution of the arrest warrant.

According the prosecution, a group of supporters of BNP-led 20-party alliance blasted bombs in front of Islamia High School in Pallabi area of Dhaka on January 27, 2015. A case was filed later with Pallabi Thana.
