DHAKA: Polls will be arranged in nine municipalities on August 7.

The Election Commission (EC) on Monday (July 25) declared the schedule and asked the Budget and Publication Section to print ballot papers for the upcoming elections.

According to the schedule, the polls will be held in Dinajpur’s Ghoraghat, Nilphamari’s Domar, Rangpur’s Pirganj, Patuakhali’s Golachipa, Narail’s Lohagara, Tangail’s Ghatail, Bogra’s Sonatala and Pabna’s Bera municipalities on the day.

Moreover, the by-election of Manikganj’s Singrai municipality Ward No 1 for member position will also be held on August 7.

The EC deferred the by-election for mayoral post in Shariatpur’s Naria municipality on August 7.
