JHENAIDAH: Police arrested two including the Jhenaidah municipality unit Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Abdul Qaium in an overnight drive in Kaliganj and Court Chandpur upazilas early Tuesday.

Another arrestee was identified as Hafizur Rahman, son of one Golam Khan, hailed from Choto Ghighati village of Kaliganj upazila.

Additional super of police Azbahar Ali Sheikh confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said police arrested them on allegation of planning for conducting sabotage.

There are sabotage cases against the arrestees, he added.
