DHAKA: BNP announced a three-member Chittagong Metropolitan Convening Committee on Saturday (August 6).

Dr Shahadat Hossain was selected as its president, Alhaz Abu Sufian as vice-chairman and Abul Hashem Bakkar as general secretary.

Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the committee at a press conference at Nayapaltan party central office at noon.

BNP also announced a 502-member executive committee including 19 as standing committee members, 73 as party chairperson’s advisors and 35 as vice-chairmen.
