MEMENSINGH: Police recovered hanging body of a Union Parishad (UP) member from Trishal upazila of the district on Sunday (September 25).

The deceased was identified as Munam (30), member of ward no-9 of Rampur union.

Trishal thana officer-in-charge (OC) Moniruzzaman told Banglanews that locals of the area informed police after seeing the hanging body of the UP member.

Police recovered the body from a tree near Munam’s house around 10:00am.

A case has been filed in this regard, OC added.
