DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that police submitted concocted report over the recent attack on minor families in Brahmanbaria’s Nasirnagar to save MPs and minister.
He came up with the assertion at a press briefing in BNP central office at city’s Nayapaltan area on Tuesday (November 15).
Police submitted the report on Monday that included the names of Nasirnagar upazila BNP vice president Jamal Uddin and union Juba Dal vice president Bilal Hossain along with the Awami League leaders and activists, the BNP leader added.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that police forcibly included the names of BNP leaders as a way to hide the illicit activities of government.
He also made am allegation that government enforced restriction to observe the National Revolution and solidarity day, even prevented to demonstrate against government restriction.
The joint secretary general further said ruling party’s men are threatening BNP activists and sometimes attack their house.
