DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has called for army deployment during the upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election.

He made the demand while addressing a meeting at National Press Club VIP lounge in city on Tuesday (November 22).

Shadhinota Forum organized the meeting marking the 52nd birth anniversary of BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Rizvi said the government does not want a fair election in Narayanganj and the district is already known as the area of godfathers. So army deployment is a must to ensure free and fair election.
