JS goes into 13th session Sunday

DHAKA: The 10th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) will go into its 13th session at 4:00pm on Sunday.

The Parliamentary Business Advisory Committee headed by Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will finalise the duration of the session before session begins.

All preparations have been completed for holding the 13th session.

On November 14, President Abdul Hamid convened the session exercising the power bestowed upon him as per Article 72 (1) of the Constitution. The 12th session of the 10th Jatiya Sangsad was prorogued on October 6.

According to the constitution there can be a maximum of 60 days' gap between the end of a session and the beginning of the next one.
