RANGPUR: Police arrested a member of banned extremist outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Kaunia upazila in Rangpur district Sunday morning.
The JMB man was identified as Yusuf Ali, 27, son of one Kamaruzzaman, hailed from Betubari village of the upazila.
Kaunia police station officer-in-charge (OC, investigation) Mamun-Ar-Rashid told Banglanews being tipped off, police conducted a drive in Haldibari area and arrested Yusuf Ali.
He is an accused in a sabotage case, OC added.
