SAVAR, DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia paid homage to the martyrs of 1971 by placing floral wreaths at National Memorial in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka, on Friday (December 16).

Flanked by party leaders, she placed the wreath around 11:05 am. She also stayed at the Memorial for a minute.

Party’s secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Dr. Moin Khan, and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, chairperson’s adviser Aman Ullah Aman and Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon were present here.

The nation was observing the 46th Victory Day of Bangladesh over Pakistan.
