Two Jubo League leaders, who were arrested in connection with the attack on Ghoraghat Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Wahida Khanam, have been expelled from the ruling party’s youth wing.

The expelled leaders are Jahangir Alam, convener of Ghoraghat Upazila Jubo League and convener committee member Asadul Islam.

Alhaj Moinul Hossain Khan Nikhil, general secretary of Jubo League central unit, confirmed their expulsion to media on Friday noon.

He said: “Jubo League is an orderly organization where no terrorist or extortionist will get a place. The arrested leaders- Jahangir Alam and Asadul Islam- were expelled from the organization for breaching party code of conduct and for carrying out attack on Ghoraghat UNO.”
