Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, State Minister for Shipping, has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19).

Jahangir Alam Khan, Public Relations Officer of Shipping Ministry, confirmed this information to Banglanews, on Wednesday morning.

Khalid Mahmud has tested positive for the virus on Tuesday but he is doing well, Jahangir said.

The state minister is taking treatment at his residence in the capital, he said.

The minister requested the countrymen to pray for his quick recovery from the disease, Jahangir added.
