18-Party’s mayhem in capital

DHAKA: Several chaotic incidents had scratched the city as a number of bomb blasts, blaze and arson took place in different points in the capital on Friday.

In Mohammadpur, at least three cocktails were blasted in front of Mohammadpur Graphics Institute at around 7.15pm.

In High court area, Shibir activists set fire to a police van pouring petrol in High Court area while they were returning from the 18-Party rally. Later, police doused the fire.

In Shahbagh, BNP-Jamaat activists hurled at least five cocktails near Aziz Super market at around 6.00pm. However, no causalities occurred so far and police didn’t able to arrest any miscreants in this connection.

In Paltan, miscreants hurled a cocktail near Kasturi Hotel around 6.00pm.

In Kataban, Shibir activists exploded at least three cocktails near Austa Bannjon Restaurant at Kataban intersection at around 5.45pm.

Meanwhile in Kawran Bazar area, BNP-Shibir activists torched a public vehicle at evening. Later, Fire service men doused the fire.
