The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expressed its profound sorrow at the passing of Shoaibur Rahman Mithun, Senior Photojournalist at Banglanews24.com. 

Mithun, 37, passed away on Monday evening in Dhaka after battling cancer for more than one year.

In a press release, the BCB acknowledged his remarkable contributions to promoting cricket through his lens.

A familiar face on the cricket grounds, Mithun was widely recognized both in Bangladesh and abroad for his exceptional cricket photography, capturing memorable moments at various international events, including World Cups, according to the release. 

The BCB extends its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to Shoaib Mithun’s family during this difficult time.
