Bangladesh crumble to 102/8, trails S Africa by 473

In the second Test match against South Africa, Bangladesh struggled to respond to a massive first-innings total of 575/6 declared by South Africa, finding themselves at 102/8 by the first session on Day 3.

The team now trails by 473 runs and faces a steep uphill battle in Chattogram.

South Africa's Kagiso Rabada was particularly destructive, claiming five wickets for just 18 runs and precisely dismantling Bangladesh's top and middle order.

Mominul Haque managed to hold his ground with an unbeaten 43, while Taijul Islam contributed a cautious 17 in a last-resort partnership.

South Africa dominated earlier in the Test, with key contributions from the top order, giving Bangladesh little room for recovery.

Their struggles today underline the effectiveness of South Africa's bowling attack and the mounting pressure on Bangladesh as they attempt to avoid an innings defeat.
