DHAKA: World’s number one all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has been retained by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 2.8 crore at IPL 2014 auctions in Bangalore Wednesday.
His base price has been fixed for Rs 1 crore.
Earlier, Shakib played two seasons for Kolkaka Knight Riders on 2011 and 2012 and bagged 23 wickets.
Besides, he scored 120 runs in 15 matches during the two seasons.
Shakib told banglanews, “It’s a great matter to get chance such type of big event like Indian Premier League. I have an experience to win a trophy. Through playing cricket there, I hope that it can help me to improve the performance.
