Sri Lankan 62/2 after over-7

DHAKA: Sri Lanka scored 62 runs for two after the over-7 in their first Twenty20 match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong on Tuesday.

Mashrafe Mortaza bagged the vital wicket of Dilshan while Shakib got the wicket of Chandimal.

Winning the toss, Bangladesh earlier invited Sri Lanka to bat first.

Bangladesh started the game with two debutants -- Shamsur Rahman and Mithun Ali.

Mashrafe Mortaza has been given charge of Bangladesh`s T20 team in the absence of Mushfiqur Rahim and he will have to manage an environment made delicate by Tamim`s stepping down.

With Mahela Jayawardene back in the T20 line-up after missing the games in UAE, Sri Lanka are likely to test the combination they will field at the World Twenty20 next month: a blend of youth and experience.

Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque, Shamsur Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Mithun Ali (wk), Farhad Reza, Sohag Gazi, Arafat Sunny, Masrafe Bin Mortaza (capt), Rubel Hossain.

Sri Lanka: Tillakaratne Dilshan, Kusal Perera, Kumar Sangakkara, Dinesh Chandimal (capt and wk), Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Nuwan Kulasekara, Sachithra Senanayake, Ajantha Mendis, Seekuge Prasanna, Lasith Malinga.
