DHAKA: India has defeated Australia by 73 runs in the 16th match of Super 10 round, also 8th game of Group 2, in the ICC World Twenty20 on Sunday night in the city

While chasing a target of 160-run, Australia managed to score 86 runs losing all wickets in 16.2 over.

Yuvraj Singh’s 60-run helped India to reach 159-run losing seven wickets in their innings. Captain MS Dhoni amassed 24-run.

Brad Hodge, G Maxwell, D Bollinger, Starc, Watson and J Muirhead took one wicket each

Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to field first at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium of Mirpur.
