DHAKA: The heavy rainfall has stopped the first ODI match between Bangladesh and India after India scored 100 runs losing a wicket after 16.4 overs chasing 273-run target.
Shakib Al Hasan got the wicket of RV Uthapa. He was LBW out after scoring a useful 50.
Visiting India as set 273-run target to win the first ODI by host Bangladesh at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Stadium Sunday.
Bangladesh scored 272 runs losing nine wickets in the stipulated overs. Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, and Anamul Haque scored 59, 52 and 44 runs respectively.
UT Yadav bagged three wickets while A Mishra and Parvez Rasool got two wickets each.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first in the first ODI match against visiting India.
The match started at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at 1:00pm Sunday.
Indian cricket team arrived Dhaka on a weeklong tour to play a three matches ODI series against Bangladesh on Friday.
Suresh Raina is leading the 15-member youthful team of world champions India.
The two others one day matches will be held on June 17 and 19 at the same venue.
