DHAKA: The logo of ‘Bashundhara Bangladesh Open-2015’ has been unveiled at International Convention City, Bashundhara at Joar Sahara on Monday.

Bashundhara Group (BG) Additional Managing Director Safwan Sobhan, Bashundhara Group Adviser Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Khandaker Abdul Wahed, Bangladesh Golf Federation secretary general Brigadier General Abul Fazal Mohammad Sanaullah, senior vice-president Major General Mizanur Rahman Khan and Golf Federation’s junior division president Major General Mohammad Masud Razzak jointly unveiled the logo.

The ceremony also featured a contract signing between Bangladesh Gold Federation and Asian Tours.

Bangladesh Golf Federation secretary general Brigadier General Abul Fazal Mohammad Sanaullah and Asian Tours’ Tournament Director Fritz Katzengruber signed the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.

On behalf of Bashundhara Group chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan, Bashundhara Group Adviser Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Khandaker Abdul Wahed said that they were happy in arranging the golf tournament for the first time of its kind in Bangladesh.

He also upheld Bashundhara Group’s assistance in the development of sports in the country.

According to the organizers, a total of 150 noted golfers will participate in the tournament to be held from May 27 to May 29 at Kurmitola Golf Club in city.
