However, Andre Russell makes a return to the line-up after missing out on the final ODI match that the Windies lost by 18 runs. Meanwhile, Marlon Samuels, Chadwick Walton and Kesrick Williams have also been brought in to bolster side that lost the ODI series 2-1.
Carlos Brathwaite will captain the team that also includes Samuel Badree, Sheldon Cottrell, Andre Fletcher, Evin Lewis, Ashley Nurse, Keemo Paul, Rovman Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Marlon Samuels, Chadwick Walton and Kesrick Williams
Courtney Browne, the Chairman of Selectors explained Gayle’s absence and the composition of the team.
“We have rested Chris Gayle and have added left-arm pacer Sheldon Cottrell for variety to the bowling attack. The team reflects the last squad that performed well in the charity match in the UK,” Browne said.
The final two matches are scheduled for August 4 and 5 at the Central Broward Regional Park in Florida.
