DHAKA: Bangladesh hard-hitting batsman Tamim Iqbal will travel to England for medical treatment on his fractured wrist.
He is expected to leave Dhaka for England, on Thursday (Sept 26).
BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed the matter to media Tuesday (Sept 25).
BCB Chief Physician Debashish Roy Chowdhury expects Tamim won’t have to undergo any operation, for recovery.
The Tiger opener will be treated under supervision of Dr David Warwick.
After being hit on the left wrist by Sri Lankan pacer Suranga Lakmal in the second over of the 2018 Asia Cup opener on Sept 15, Tamim Iqbal‘s Asia Cup campaign was cut short when scans revealed that he had fractured his wrist.
He returned home on Sept 18.
