DHAKA: Teammates of Tiger batsman-wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim have dedicated the ODI series win to his son Shahroz Rahim Mayaan after whitewashing Zimbabwe.
Mushfiq took to Facebook to share the amazing present.
“Alhamdulillah and thanks to all my team mates for this wonderful gesture...” Mushfiq captioned a photo posted on his wall.
In the photo, he was seen holding a placard having a giant portrait of Shahroz Rahim Mayaan and signatures of the national team cricketers.
Bangladesh whitewashed touring Zimbabwe after defeating them by 7 wickets in the 3rd ODI in Chittagong on Friday (October 26) to take the series 3-0.
“…great series win boys....special congrats to imrul and soumya..In shaa Allah we will win the test series too...JAZAKALLAH KHAYR,” Mushfiq added in the caption.
Tigers acknowledged Mushfiq of being owner of 10,000 runs in international cricket.
“Our Celebration Dedicated to Shahroz Rahim Mayaan,” they wrote.
However, Mayaan was born to Mushfiqur Rahim and Jannatul Kifayet Mondi, as their first child, at Square Hospital in Dhaka on February 5 this year.
