Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has become the first Bangladeshi to take 200 wickets in the longest version of international cricket on the third day of Bangladesh-West Indies first Test in Chittagong.
Shakib has also become the quickest to achieve 3000 runs and 200 wickets together in Test cricket as soon as he took the wicket of West Indies opener Kieran Powell on the first session on Saturday (November 24).
The left handed all-rounder reached the position in his 54th Test. It broke the record held by legendary England all-rounder Ian Botham, who achieved it in his 55th Test.
The Bangladesh Test captain is the fourteenth player in the Test cricket history to take 200 wickets and 3000 runs.
