DHAKA: The English rain claimed yet another World Cup match after India's group game against 2015 finalists New Zealand was called off without a ball being bowled at Trent Bridge on Thursday.
Both teams were hoping to extend their 100% winning record in the competition, but regular showers and a wet outfield at Trent Bridge prevented any play.
The abandonment is the fourth in this World Cup.
The previous highest number of abandoned games in a World Cup was two, in 1992 and 2003.
